FAQs

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Yes, we require a 50% deposit for orders over $50 and wedding orders to secure your order on our calendar. This deposit is non-refundable if you decide to cancel your order after the deposit has been received. For wedding orders, the remaining balance is due 14 days prior to the wedding day. 

Do we offer allergen-free options?

Yes, we offer gluten-free, egg-free, nut-free, and dairy-free cakes. Cookies can be also be made gluten-free, egg-free, & nut-free. 


Please be aware though that all of our products are baked in a kitchen that bakes daily with eggs, wheat, dairy. Nuts are not used daily, only upon request. 

How far in advance should I place my order?

Cakes and cupcake orders must be placed no later than 7 days in advance. Custom sugar cookie orders need to be placed no later than 14 days in advance. All other  custom orders need a 5 day notice. With that said, the more time you give us the better, we prefer that orders are placed 1 month in advance. Our calendar fills up FAST! Wedding orders must be placed no later than 30 days prior to the event date. 

Where are we located? Do we have a storefront? Do you deliver?

Yes we do! We are located at 832 Sheldon Street (right on historic Highway 30) in Lodgepole. Come see us Thursday - Saturday 7:30am- 2pm for assorted pastries, coffee, breakfast, or lunch! 


For custom orders only* Yes, we deliver to the surrounding areas (Chappell, Oshkosh, Sidney, Potter, Dix, Gurley, Lisco, Lewellen, & Peetz, CO) for a fee. If you are located more than 25 miles from each of these towns, an additional delivery charge will be applied and will be calculated based on distance. 


Wedding delivery prices differ from basic delivery, please inquire. Please note that wedding cakes must be delivered, unless other arrangements are agreed upon at the time of ordering. 


All other cakes and orders can be picked up in Lodgepole. 

What products do you use in your baked goods?

We try to use local products first and in any way we can. We strongly believe in supporting local, small businesses. We get our flour from Wauneta Roller Mills, located in Wauneta, NE. We use local farm fresh eggs from our chickens or Sidney Feed. We are currently working on getting a local source for butter and milk products. 

Do you do cake tastings?

Yes, we do offer cake tastings. Private tastings are held Thursday-Saturday (by appointment) all year round. Please contact us to schedule a tasting at least 2 weeks in advance.


Tastings are $35/person and include three cake flavors & three buttercream flavors, refreshments and a consultation. *Fillings will be selected after cake and buttercream flavors are picked. Tastings take 30 minutes to 1 hour.
